At Branfam (operated by 521 Solutions), your family's privacy is fundamental to everything we build. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign up via Google, we receive your basic Google profile information.
Family Data
This includes calendar events, tasks, meal plans, grocery lists, photos, and household member profiles that you create within the app. This data belongs to you.
Usage Data
We collect anonymous analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the product. We use Google Analytics for this purpose.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the Branfam service
- To sync your calendar with Google Calendar (when you connect it)
- To send push notifications you've opted into (reminders, task alerts)
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns
What We Don't Do
We never sell your data. We don't share your personal information with advertisers. We don't mine your family's calendar or chore data for any purpose beyond providing the service to you.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on encrypted servers. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. All connections use TLS/HTTPS encryption. We perform regular backups to prevent data loss.
Third-Party Services
- Google — Calendar sync and OAuth login (only with your permission)
- Stripe — Payment processing (we never see your full card number)
- Apple Push Notification Service — iOS push notifications
- Google Analytics — Anonymous usage analytics
Your Rights
You can request a full export of your data or deletion of your account at any time. Contact us at support@521solutions.com or use the in-app data export feature.
Children's Privacy
Branfam is designed for family use. Child profiles are created and managed by adult household members. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
